Precision K-9 Services is a small company that began in 1996. Precision K-9 Services, strives to produce the best working dog possible, and feel that the handlers must be equally well trained. This is what makes Precision K-9 unique. Precision K-9 spends countless hours with handlers making sure they feel comfortable with the handling and training of the canine. Many times other companies pair a handler with a canine, then give a few hours of instruction, and they are on their way to work on the street. These handlers sooner than later lose confidence in themselves and their canine partner, causing many K-9 programs to fail. Many people in the dog training community, claim to be the "Best in the World", "Second to None", "Best in the Country" etc... WOW! These people must have a lot of travel miles to have seen all the trainers in the US or the World. We, as trainers may put out the "best dogs" ever, but that's just part of the equation. Without excellent handler training, the desire, good work ethic, & go getting attitude of the handler, the team is incomplete.

Precision K-9 Services' training program has been placed on the list of approved training programs with the OHIO PEACE OFFICER TRAINING ACADEMY.

West Virginia Division Of Criminal Justice Services approved our Master Trainers Course for Police K-9 for 600 hours in-service credit, upon completion. If I'm not mistaken, we are the only trainers in WV to offer in-service credit with our trainers course! You seen it here first.

Our Training: When training the Police Service Dog we do not train with competition style training (i.e. Schutzhund). Our training is very structured, we train in levels or building blocks only moving forward when the last level has been completed. Our techniques & style of training pertain to the real working life of a Police Dog. Our training and certifications are practical. We are set up with local Law Enforcement and private businesses to utilize different working environments. This allows your dog to get real life exposure to the type of environments he will be expected to work in on the road. We train all of our dogs ourselves, we do not let others train our dogs for us. We may have someone going through a trainers course and will help with training, to further their education, but only with our strictest supervision. There are others who send dogs to the residence of people going through a trainers course, how then would the trainer be overseeing the training on these dogs or the trainee. Our Dogs: We train Police Service dogs for the sole purpose of police work and, unlike some other trainers, do not use competition trained dogs. When we get an order from a department and we do not have the specified breed of dog, we obtain the green/untrained dog through our contacts then train it to suit your needs. Our past sold dogs include German, Czech, & French imports, as well as dogs bred in the U.S. but from German and Czech lines. We personally have a contact in Belgium for GSD, Malinois and Dutch Shepherds. We do not deal with American lines, with the exception of straight narc dogs (i.e. Labs), and they are from hunting stock.

Our Breeding Program: We are breeding dogs with high working drives, hard temperament, and strong nerves from working lines. I believe in proving the dogs temperament, health, and workability, therefore you will usually see our breeding stock with titles, and health clearances. Our breeding program consists of dogs we breed, whelped on our premises, raised and socialized by us. We will not have photos of litters/dogs on our site that do not belong to us yet claim them as our own. We also do not have a program that allows unqualified people to raise or train our dogs.
